True to form though, Cafe Green caused a little bit of a wrinkle in our plan seeing as they DON’T SERVE BRUNCH ON SATURDAYS!
In a town where weekends are built around brunch, their extensive brunch menu is only served one day a week. And that’s on Sundays.
I frequently defend Cafe Green’s quirky service, but man, I really wanted some pancakes. We tried to bounce back quickly and each went with a sandwich.
Anna ordered the Veggie Burger with coleslaw. She wasn’t a fan of the bread, but I think she enjoyed the burger. I snagged a bite and really liked it!
I ordered the Free Temptation. It was a panini style sandwich made up of tempeh, avocado, cheese.
Trying to somewhat save our desire to have a real brunch, we each ordered a fruity cocktail, but they took a good portion of our meal to receive. By the time both were ready and arrived at our table, it was obvious all the fruit juice in mine had sort of settled out, so despite being the same drink, it looked nothing like Anna’s. It wasn’t bad, just…late.
Come on Cafe Green, help us out! Please consider serving brunch on Saturdays. And cocktails at the beginning of the meal
