You’d think making a mash of pretty much anything would be idiot-proof, right? Guess again…
I love mashed potatoes or any sort of squash mash, so when I heard about making cauliflower mash, I wanted to try it immediately.
The recipe couldn’t be simpler: cauliflower, little bit of liquid, a little bit of butter, sprinkle of salt.
I had to microwave the cauliflower for a few minutes until it was soft, and then put it in the blender.
I think I should have used my food processor because it never became smooth, even when I added more liquid. I don’t think the blades were in the best spot. Some parts came out like mashed potatoes while other parts were much less creamy and much more like a chopped up mess, or hash.
Even though this isn’t what I wanted to make, it still tastes great. Anyone else make this before? What’s the best method, immersion blender?
